MOTIVATORS
These
specialties of the house will get
your adrenaline rushing!
White water rafting &
sea kayaking
The country has earned a reputation
as one of the top rafting destinations
in the world. Wild, untamed rivers
plunge through beautiful, largely
unexplored tropical wilderness. Whether
an expert or beginner, nature-lover
or thrill-seeker, rafting enthusiast
or active kayaker, Costa Rica has
the choice for you: rivers range from
class-I to class-V with miles of awesome,
challenging rapids surrounded by breathtaking
landscapes.
As well as being action-packed and
fun, rafting trips are an ideal opportunity
for team building activities. The
rivers are easily accessible throughout
the country and most trips are available
year round, weather permitting.
And how about an open ocean paddle
along one of Costa Rica’s most
beautiful coastlines! Discover exotic
beaches that can only be reached by
water, paddle along inland waterways
and explore coastal areas while enjoying
the scenery.
Excellent sport fishing
The
Pacific coast of Costa Rica is known
worldwide as an exceptional fishing
spot of the “catch and release”
type. There is abundant sailfish,
Dorado, tuna, and marlin in the area.
With a little luck it is possible
to catch other types of fish, such
as wahoo, rainbow runner, and amberjack.
The northeastern shores, lowland lagoons
and rivers offer the hottest tarpon
and snook action for light tackle
enthusiasts. Snook season runs from
late August into January. Jacks are
common all year round. Half-day or
full-day fishing trips as well as
tournaments can be organized; all
types of boats are available.
Eco-fit challenge
These trips lead you through rain,
cloud, or dry forests as well as along
different beaches. You are also invited
to explore the numerous volcanoes
across the country.
The concept of the eco-fit challenge
is to combine outdoor action with
awe-inspiring surroundings. After
a hike or horseback ride through forest
treat yourself to a swim in a lush
lagoon or discover hidden waterfalls.
Alternatively, you could go for a
purifying “boil” in the
steaming waters of a natural spa.
Jungle
safaris and rallies in jeeps along
dirt roads are also a fun way to explore
the country. Equally, it is possible
to include visits to banana or mango
plantations or combine the car-ride
with hiking, biking and rafting trips.
The eco-fit challenge is well suited
to include educational programs and
team building experiences. According
to the client’s objectives,
Olympics with a specific theme or
topic may also be held. The activities
may focus on competitions with a scoring
system and prizes, or rewards for
your participants.
The difficulty and length of the activity
may be adapted to the group’s
size and level of fitness. Treks range
from gentle walks along trails to
physically demanding hikes involving
a real challenge.
World class diving
Their
geographic location between two oceans,
and on tropical latitude that keeps
the water warm all year long, partly
explains why the biodiversity of Costa
Rican seas is among the richest in
the world. From sharks to moray eels,
manta rays and different-colored schools
of fish, divers encounter an entire
living and moving universe; one which
is peaceful, quiet, and yet remarkably
intense.
If you are not yet a certified diver,
classes and courses held in English
are offered along the coast.
In the treetops
Have
you ever wondered what it would be
like to venture deep into the heart
of a tropical forest? Then you may
just be the ideal candidate for a
canopy trip. These provide a unique
way to explore rain, cloud, and dry
forests from different perspectives,
taking you from ground level all the
way up to the treetops.
In
fact, the only existing operational
aerial tram in a rain forest is located
in Costa Rica. The famous tram is
a unique eco-tourism and research
facility. It takes you on a relaxing
excursion through the canopy where,
from a bird’s perspective, you
can observe plants and trees you would
not otherwise be able to appreciate.
The
more adventurous might prefer to “slide”
from platform to platform secured
by a harness, ropes and rappel cords.
Steel cables up to 40 meters (132
feet) above link the numerous platforms.
Besides the excitement and fun, trained
guides explain the complexity of life
in a tropical forest.
