THE NORTH PACIFIC
Land of fascinating contrasts
Bordering
the north-western sector of Costa Rica’s
Pacific Coast, the province of Guanacaste is a
gateway to nature and beach adventures. Its rich
topography offers a wide variety of places to
visit, from stunning sand beaches, amazing volcanoes
and savannas, to tropical dry forests. It is the
land of cattle ranches, marimbas, dark-skinned
sabaneros (local cowboys) and holds Costa Rica’s
most authentic folkloric traditions. Within the
limits of the country’s north pacific region,
you will be able to find all kinds of motivational
activities and is a key incentive destination.
The Liberia
International Airport is located in this major
city of the province and provides a convenient
way to discover these wonders.
In Guanacaste,
the sun rules the landscape. From November to
April, there is almost no rainfall and the sun
is very strong. Cool winds from northern latitudes
lower temperatures pleasantly along the coast
from December to February. From May through October
the warm and sunny weather remains but accompanied
by occasional showers, usually in the afternoon.
The dry season, however, lingers slightly longer
than other places in Costa Rica.
