The world of coffee

This educational visit to a plantation and roasting plant shows how coffee beans, the “grano de oro” (golden grain), are picked and processed. Coffee experts point out the distinctive characteristics of each roasting process and explain the criteria for quality coffee, while you enjoy a flavorful, fresh-from-the-plantation cup.
Entertaining coffee-picking contests may be planned during the months of November to February, where participants will be able to show their skills with the coffee basket in the traditional way!

Golfing in the tropics

Golfing is all the rage in Costa Rica and you can choose from several championship and smaller executive courses. The majority of the courses are located in the Central Valley and along the Pacific coast. For example, the legendary Robert Trent Jones II designed the golf course at the Paradisus Playa Conchal in Guanacaste, North Pacific coast.
