Theme parties & fiestas

Night in white

The color white is guest of honor at this barefoot night on the beach! White flowers for the ladies and tropical cocktails welcome the guests. Torches placed along the beach enhance the white of the candles, tablecloths and attire. Guests are invited to dance on the sand or on specially constructed platforms; the music selection includes all manners of soft Latin rhythms and ballads, such as romantic boleros, salsa, tango, and cha-cha-cha. The perfect complement to this memorable setting is our sumptuous, buffet-style dinner followed by “Golden Cream” (coffee liquor and cream) and “White Russians” (with just the right measure of vodka!).

Rainforest dream

Here we recreate the atmosphere of a tropical rainforest. Guests are greeted on arrival by a delicious tropical fruit cocktail. With the sounds of cascades and forest animals in the back, a group of modern dancers emerges. They bring with them a kaleidoscope of color and movements resembling inhabitants of the forest, such as snakes, birds, and jaguars.
A buffet-style dinner follows after which there is plenty of opportunity to dance to the beat of enticing tropical rhythms.

Caribbean night

This ultimate beach party set among the palm trees comes complete with waiters clad in colorful attires, calypso and reggae music, and a big wood fire. Guests are invited to enjoy the variety of Caribbean dishes while an open bar serves soft drinks, beer, cocktails, and spirits. A comparsa (dancing group in colorful costumes) strikes up the carnival, dancing through the tables, and inviting those who wish to follow to join the group. Instructors teach guests how to dance to Caribbean music; a dance contest also takes place for those who wish to show what they learned. There are surprises for all participants and prizes for the first three places.

Traditional party & rodeo

Participants experience a traditional party on an authentic farm in Guanacaste; this is commonly known as a “Fiesta Brava”. During the bus ride to the hacienda guests are offered traditional campesino hats and bandannas. Once there, they are welcome and escorted by a “cimarrona” (local countryside band), while cowboys show off their “moves” on their horses. Local snacks and typical dishes as well as an open bar service are available at different stands throughout the hacienda. Guests are welcome to wander around, enjoy the music, and chat with the locals. Fireworks and marimba music announce the start of the rodeo as guests head for the “corral” to observe “montas” and “corridas”, in which both locals and expert riders take part. Afterwards, a delicious buffet-style BBQ dinner is served in a “palenque” (an Indian style palm-roofed ranch) where a live band keeps the party going.
